To assist with servicing the increased demand for Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) during the current Coronavirus pandemic ,which is facing our country as well as the rest of the world, Rare Plastics has commenced with the production of face shields.

The face shields are not only to protect hospital staff but can also be used as valuable PPE for retail staff, factory staff as well as for personal use.

After having completed the machining of the first test pieces, Rare Plastics will start with full production as of 9 April 2020. It is estimated that initially we will produce 500 face shields per day, after which production will be ramped up to 1000 face shields per day as of next week. We have already managed to secure sufficient raw materials to produce the first batch of 30,000 face shields and have started to take orders for these.
