Rare’s trading division was awarded a major contract to fabricate and supply components for Randgold’s backfill plant at its Somilo goldmine in Mali.

Rare supplied 200NB SCH 80 ceramic lined pipes in various lengths, as well as bends worth R20 million to the mine’s processing plant, Loulo. With this backfill plant expansion complete, Randgold will be able to mine at greater depths at its Yalea and Gara shafts.
